Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (10/30/17): NBA DFS Advice For FanDuel, DraftKings

After a Sunday that was hopefully filled with family, good food and sports, the NBA has a packed schedule on Monday night to kick off the week. With plenty of injuries around the league, there is an abundance of players who are capable of putting up fantasy numbers well beyond their values.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 10/30/17.

The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel and DraftKings. Let's not waste any time and jump right in!

 

DFS Guards to Consider

Tyreke Evans - G, vs. Charlotte ($4,900 DK, $5,200 FD)

Tyreke Evans has been playing well on a team that has been dealing with injuries. With Wayne Selden and Ben McLemore out of the equation recently, Tyreke Evans has come off the bench behind Andrew Harrison. He is averaging 12 points and nearly six assists per game and could see plenty of minutes while those guys are out with their respective ailments.

T.J. McConnell - G, @HOU ($4,400 DK, $4,900 FD)

With the shoulder injury to Markelle Fultz and J.J. Redick dealing with an ankle injury, T.J. McConnell has stepped in and has been doing his share on a team loaded with effective offensive options. McConnell started 51 games last season, averaging six points, six assists and nearly two steals per game and was one of the more reliable options on a team that was plagued with injuries. Though he won't get you huge fantasy numbers, he can provide much needed salary relief on a Monday night slate filled with plenty of high-priced options. However, he will lose some appeal if Redick is able to go so be sure to check his status prior to tip-off.

Jonathon Simmons G,F @ NO ($4,400 DK, $4,200 FD)

Jonathon Simmons had 27 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals against Charlotte. At his Sunday DraftKings' asking price of only $4,000, it was enough to see Simmons accumulate a points total of 11x his value. You can't ask for much more than that. He should be a favorable option, especially with Elfrid Payton not playing on Monday night due to a hamstring issue.

James Harden, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry, Jameer Nelson, E'Twaun Moore, Mario Chalmers, Frank Ntilikina, Jarrett Jack

 

DFS Forwards to Consider

Kelly Olynyk - F, vs. MIN ($5,500 DK, $5,600 FD)

With Hassan Whiteside hindered by a bone bruise in his knee, Kelly Olynyk has stepped up to the plate. Though Whiteside is officially listed as a game-time decision, the chances are slim that he will actually be able to go. Though Jordan Mickey will draw the start more than likely, he usually doesn't last long as Olynyk has been seeing the majority of the minutes. He is averaging 10 points, seven boards and a block on the year and is always a threat to sink some shots from beyond the arch.

Pascal Siakam - F, @POR ($3,800 DK, $4,300 FD)

If Jonas Valanciunas, who has been dealing with an ankle issue, is unable to play, we will have plenty of minutes up for grabs. This is where Pascal Siakam comes into the equation. The reigning G-League finals MVP has turned it up a notch over the past two games, averaging 19 points over 23 minutes of action. However, if Valanciunas does indeed play, which is very possible, Siakam will see his value become drastically reduced.

Other forwards to consider:

Kevin Durant, Ben Simmons, Robert Covington, Serge Ibaka, Ryan Anderson, Dario Saric (if Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor are both out), Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (if Chris Paul and Eric Gordon are both out)

 

DFS Centers to Consider

Jakob Poeltl - C, @POR ($5,200 DK, $5,300 FD)

Much like Pascal Siakam, Jakob Poeltl has benefited from the absence of Jonas Valanciunas and much like Pascal Siakam, Jakob Poeltl will lose some effectiveness if Valanciunas is able suit up on Monday night. Nonetheless, Poeltl has played well this season, averaging nine points, eight rebounds and a block on the year and can be a good option if you are strapped for cash paying for the bigger names.

Ed Davis - C vs. TOR ($4,100 DK, $4,400 FD)

Ed Davis has been a monster on the glass this season and has accumulated over 10 rebounds in each of the team's past four games. He is not the most gifted player offensively but more than makes up for it on the boards.

Other centers to consider:

Mason Plumlee, Cody Zeller, Aron Baynes, Amir Johnson (if Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor are both out), Dwight Howard, Enes Kanter, Al Horford
