Chuba Hubbard fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 7 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Chuba Hubbard for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: The Carolina Panthers face the Washington Commanders in Week 7. Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard is a good football player. The Commanders defense is a bad defense. Carolina has good run blocking. You should start Hubbard, it really is that simple sometimes. He's been great this year.
He's the RB5 in full-PPR scoring, so it's strange that he's fallen under the radar, but until rookie Jonathon Brooks (knee) carves out a role after he returns from his injury to gameplay, the former OSU back is the guy in this backfield.
Nobody's noticing, but here's Chuba Hubbard's ranks among starting running backs:
- No. 2 in yards per carry 5.6
- 3rd in YAC, at 3.7 yards
- 4th in gains of 15 or more yards
- No. 1 in rushing yards over expectation pic.twitter.com/X4fz0LEH29— Paul Charchian (@PaulCharchian) October 16, 2024
He's been highly efficient this year, so there's little reason to think he won't continue to have his workhorse role in Brooks' absence. For this week, he should start. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on the splits once the rookie starts playing, though. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Washington has been gashed both on the ground and in the air this year, so Hubbard could have another big game, and you don't want to miss out by leaving him on the bench.
