Catcher (C) Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Points Leagues - February Updates (2025)

Salvador Perez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

RotoBaller's catcher (C) points league fantasy baseball rankings, updated for February 2025. Win your drafts with our points league and H2H points rankings.

The countdown to Opening Day is on, and we are back with more fantasy baseball points league rankings. Today, we review the catcher position and break down the ranks and tiers with our 2025 fantasy baseball catcher rankings for points and H2H points leagues. We have been breaking down every position to help fantasy managers crush their drafts and hopefully take down the championship.

There is generally enough fantasy production from the top 10 catchers that you won't have to prioritize drafting a backstop early if you're starting just one in your fantasy league. The elite options are William Contreras and Adley Rutschman, the only catchers ranked in the top 40. But solid hitters and values can be found in the middle and late rounds as well at the catcher position.

The C rankings below are specifically designed for fantasy baseball points leagues, put together by RotoBaller's MLB points expert Nicklaus Gaut. We also have many other fantasy baseball rankings, tools, and resources to help you win in 2025, including our constantly-updated fantasy baseball points rankings for all positions. Catcher Points Rankings for Fantasy Baseball (February)

These catcher rankings are for points and head-to-head points leagues. You can also see our roto fantasy baseball rankings.

Before we get to the rankings, let's quickly review points leagues and how they differ from other formats. Typically, points leagues have different league settings and scoring formats than other fantasy baseball leagues. Different MLB stats and categories are assigned different point values, and those can vary by individual league settings. Those different point buckets are then added up over the course of a scoring period or season.

In many cases, hitters who walk more and strike out less are preferred for points leagues. Also, many league formats tend to give more weight to pitchers than normal, as they can easily accrue points through categories like Innings Pitched. These are the general frameworks that we use for our points league rankings below, and explain why they look different than more standard 5x5 roto fantasy baseball rankings.
