Bruce Brown is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 17 of the 2022-23 NBA season.

ANALYSIS: As we enter the trade deadline week, all whispers are pointing toward Denver trading Bones Hyland in the event they decide to move someone elsewhere instead of veteran Bruce Brown. Brown has moved in and out of the starting five this season playing for the Nuggets, but his production has been kind of similar no matter his role.
Through the full season, BB is averaging 25 FPPG in 51 games played through Friday. In the ones he's started, he's posted an average of 28 FPPG and in the ones in which he's come off the pine, he's averaged 23 FPPG. Not that big a difference, honestly, and if Hyland really moves out of Denver, then Brown might actually see enough of a bump to bounce back to those 25 FPPG.
In his last nine games going back to January 17, Brown has scored at least 1+ 3PM in each of those matchups. He's averaged 12.5 PPG, 4+ RPG, and 2.5 APG in that span to go with the most important stats for those hurting for scarce numbers: 1.2 SPG and 0.6 BPG. Considering Brown can play pretty much 1-through-3, the upside is great because he can guard whoever he gets assigned to.
Brown provides a bit of everything, including great shooting percentages from all three levels. He's keeping up some 49/40/70 splits, hoisting 9+ FGA, 3+ 3PA, and 1+ FTA per game, too. Brown is one of 23 players averaging 4+ rebounds, 3+ dimes, 1+ steals, and 0.5+ blocks through the season and one of just four doing it in fewer than 30 MPG.
