Tyrese Maxey - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News

Keith Eyster's top NBA prop bets for 12/5/25: expert player-prop picks, value plays, quick model edges and line-shopping tips for today’s slate. Check odds & get the edge.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! We have another exciting night of NBA action ahead, with twelve games in total on the schedule. Half of those games have a total above 230 points, so there should be plenty of scoring.

Several stars can be found on the injury report, with all of Jalen Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Paolo Banchero, and Kristaps Porzingis hoping to return to action after some time.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Friday, December 5th. Prop picks can range from individual stats—points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive stats —to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Let's get to the picks already. It's time to dive in!

Today’s Best NBA Prop Bets & Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Tyrese Maxey over 30.5 Points (-110 BetMGM)

The Sixers have dealt with a plethora of injuries this season, but the one constant has been Tyrese Maxey. The star guard just continues to churn out elite performances as the season rolls on, despite Joel Embiid and Paul George struggling to be available. Embiid played the first leg of this back-to-back, so it is highly unlikely he is able to play on the second leg, but Paul George should be available tonight after sitting out the first leg last night. The reality is, it hasn't mattered who Maxey shares the floor with; he just keeps on performing. He has averaged 32.6 points per game and has scored more than 30 points in 12 of his 24 games.

Tonight's matchup against Milwaukee is also a boost for Maxey, as they rank 22nd in defensive efficiency and will be without elite defender Giannis Antetokounmpo. Maxey should remain the focal point of the Sixers' offense and cruise to another 30+ point performance.

Cade Cunningham over 27.5 Points (-104 DraftKings)

Pistons star Cade Cunningham has been excellent this season and has elevated his game to another level. The point guard is averaging a career-high 27.6 points per game and has led Detroit to the top of the Eastern Conference. His aggression this season is getting him to the charity stripe more often than in seasons past. He's had a couple of down games with back-to-back games scoring less than 20 points, but this is an excellent spot for him to get back on track.

Portland plays at the third-fastest pace in the league, which should create a few extra possessions for Cunningham. They also rank just 20th in defensive efficiency and will again be without top perimeter defender Jrue Holiday. With an elite game environment on his side, Cunningham is in a great spot to get back on track and cruise over 27.5 points.

Coby White over 23.5 Points (-109 DraftKings)

White has missed the last three games and has played in just five games total this season. However, he has been excellent when healthy enough to play. The UNC product is averaging 24.2 points per game on 31.5% usage, and he could provide a significant boost to a Bulls team that how now lost five straight games. White has cleared this line in four of five games this season.

Tonight's matchup against the Pacers sets up as a high-scoring affair. Both teams play at a top-10 pace, which should create a few extra possessions in the game. Indiana also ranks just 23rd in defensive efficiency, so White and company shouldn't face much resistance on the offensive end of the floor.

Top Value Props & Sleeper Picks

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies on the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

Jaylon Tyson over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105 BetMGM)

Second-year forward Jaylon Tyson is enjoying a breakout season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has filled in for several injured Cavaliers this season, and he has been great in every situation. Tyson has found his way into the starting lineup for 13 of his 18 games this season, and that should again be the case with Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen ruled out.

In four games this season with Garland and Allen inactive, Tyson has averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists (29.3 PRA).

Tonight's matchup also sets up favorably for him, as the Spurs continue to play without Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle. The Spurs' defensive efficiency ranks just 19th since they have been playing without those two young stars.

Collin Gillespie over 15.5 Points (-102 FanDuel)

Gillespie has been a huge bright spot for the Suns this season, averaging 13.4 points per game. His scoring and playmaking have been a much-needed addition since Jalen Green has barely been able to play this season. Gillespie stepped into an even bigger role when Grayson Allen went down with an injury, and it doesn't look like he'll be letting go of that role anytime soon. Allen is back in the lineup for this game, but now Devin Booker is out, which should lead to another start for Gillespie. He has scored more than 20 points in all three of his starts this season, and he has a good chance to do that again tonight.

The matchup is a difficult one as the Suns travel to Houston for a meeting with the Rockets' second-ranked defense. Despite the difficult spot, Gillespie has averaged 18.9 points over his last nine games, and he has cleared 15.5 points on multiple occasions from his bench role. Now, he should start for the injured Booker, who also happens to be the highest usage player on the team.
