PROSPECT: Austin Shenton, 3B, Tampa Bay Rays
ANALYSIS: A new addition to my prospect rankings this week, Austin Shenton has been quietly raking in the upper minors this season. In 106 games overall, Shenton is slashing .306/.408/.591 with 36 doubles and 24 home runs.
That includes a .327/.407/.684 mark over the last 30 days with 14 doubles and seven home runs. He's displaying a solid blend of contact, approach, and power, and could get the call if Tampa Bay needs a replacement at one of the infield corners down the stretch.
