Antonio Callaway (WR, CLE) - Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

Cleveland wide receiver (WR) Antonio Callaway is a waiver wire pickup and add target in leagues for Week 10 of the 2018 NFL season. Brady Grove recommends the Browns rookie for his consistent target-volume and high-ranking role in the Browns passing game.

ANALYSIS: The Cleveland Browns are a roster stocked with young offensive weapons, and they have already come a long way from their 0-16 mark from last season. Baker Mayfield is now passing for 252.6 yards per game, and he has been able to spread the wealth around the field to a variety of recipients. So far his top-two favorite targets have been Jarvis Landry and David Njoku who have combined for 928 yards and four touchdowns off of 158 targets, but his third-favorite option has appeared to be Antonio Callaway for much of the year. Callaway is currently third on the team in targets (53) and receiving yards (287) while sharing the lead in receiving touchdowns (2) with Landry, Njoku, and Duke Johnson. While his 24 receptions rank behind Johnson (29), Callaway's yards-per-reception of 12.0 is best on the roster among players with 38 targets or more. Despite a lull in production between weeks five and seven, he has recently started to rev back up to the tune of 43.5 yards off of four receptions out of 5.5 targets per game over the last two games (with a touchdown reception against Pittsburgh).

Callaway has only seen four targets in the red-zone this season with three of those coming inside the opponent's ten-yard line, and most of his targets have come between the 20-49 yard-lines in opponent territory. That being said, there is plenty of value in being the third-favorite passing target in the ever-developing game of Baker Mayfield. Antonio Callaway has proven to be a rather well-rounded receiver who can do damage in a plethora of ways, and even with the limited volume of opportunity that he has seen close to the end-zone, his ability to explode for big plays improves his chances of crossing the goal line. With that in mind, Callaway is a strong addition at WR for fantasy football managers in deeper leagues.
