ANALYSIS: It hasn't taken long for Guardians infield prospect Angel Genao to make an impact after a June 3 promotion to High-A Lake County as he has gone 6-for-20 with a homer, a double, and a walk across 21 trips to the plate.
The smooth transition is hardly a surprise considering the 20-year-old raked to a .341 average with six homers, 12 stolen bases, and a .936 OPS across 196 trips to the plate with Single-A Lynchburg. He also punched out in just 14.3% of his Single-A trips to the plate.

The youngster remains a ways away from the big leagues but it shouldn't be long before he is knocking on the door of a Double-A promotion. Armed with a patient approach and excellent contact skills in addition to his power/speed combination, Genao is a prospect to keep an eye on as he works his way up the minor league ladder in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
