Agustin Ramirez is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 17 (2024). Target Agustin Ramirez as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in AL-Only Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: August
ANALYSIS: New York Yankees catching prospect Agustin Ramirez was recently promoted to Triple-A and is approaching his major league debut.
The 22-year-old backstop opened the season with his second stint at Double-A. Across 58 games at Double-A Somerset, Ramirez posted an excellent .289/.372/.570 line with 16 home runs, 49 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and a 28:43 BB:K ratio. This is a stark contrast when looking at his production at Double-A last summer where he held a much lower .211/.273/.313 line with just two home runs and 11 RBI across 31 games.
Yankees prospect Agustin Ramirez has three home runs tonight, which all but guarantees I’ll be writing about him for what feels like the dozenth time this year.

On June 19, the catcher earned a promotion to Triple-A. Unfortunately, he has gotten off to a rough start at the top level of the minors hitting for a mere .175/.297/.381 line. However, since posting a .125 AVG in his first 11 games at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Ramirez has held a much improved .259 AVG in his past eight games which suggests he could be turning the corner.
For now, Ramirez is worth stashing in deeper AL-only leagues as he may only earn a major league opportunity late in the season.
