ANALYSIS: Arizona Diamondbacks catching prospect Adrian Del Castillo has taken a significant step forward at Triple-A this season and is nearing his major league debut.
In 83 games this season, the 2021 draft pick is on pace to smash his previous career-highs with a .327/.406/.624 line. In addition, his 20 long balls and 56 RBI are well above his career averages in the minor leagues.
Last summer in 37 games at Triple-A Reno he hit for a mediocre .248 AVG with only two home runs.
On July 9, the young backstop made headlines as he hit three round-trippers in one game.
