Across The Pond: DraftKings Euro Tour DFS Golf Picks - BMW PGA Championship

Hello and welcome to Across The Pond, RotoBaller's DraftKings DFS Euro Tour picks! At RotoBaller, we are committed to bringing our readers the most complete fantasy golf advice available, that means we offer DFS golf coverage on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

This week's Euro Tour stop takes us to England for the BMW PGA Championship. This is the European Tour's version of a Major Championship and the talent-level of the field reflects the importance of this tournament. The Wentworth Club's West Course will once again play host to the BMW PGA Championship. It is a Par 72 that measures 7,284 yards. Wentworth is a long course with lightning fast greens. It demands that players be able to move the ball both ways and tests their nerves on every green. We are looking for ballstrikers with solid short games this week.

Editor's Note: Our friends at Fantasy National have built some incredible DFS Golf lineup tools including a Lineup Optimizer, Stat Engine, Ownership Projections and Course Breakdowns. They are by far the best daily fantasy Golf tools in the industry. Seriously. You can read all about them here and see screenshots.

Elite Tier

Tommy Fleetwood - DraftKings - $10,700: I want to start with a European player that U.S. golf fans have become well acquainted with over the past year. Fleetwood has put together a monster twelve months that included being crowned the European Number 1, winning the Race to Dubai, and notching a fourth place finish at the U.S. Open. I'm gravitating toward Fleetwood because, even with his growth in popularity, I feel like he might go a bit underowned this week. I expect lots of players to be on Alex Noren this week due to his amazing course history at Wentworth and his DraftKings price tag comes in $100 cheaper than Fleetwood's.

Branden Grace - DraftKings - $9,900: I like the momentum that Branden Grace carries into this week's BMW PGA Championship. Grace fired a scorching 62 in the final round of last week's AT&T Byron Nelson to finish in a tie for third place. Grace is a solid ballstriker and can get hot with the putter. In addition to last week's 62, we have seen him go low recently at The Open Championship. Grace has fared very well at Wentworth, notching three Top-15's in six career appearances. The South African will be a popular DFS play this week, but I'm willing to live with the high ownership due to Grace's upside.

Mid Tier

Andy Sullivan - DraftKings - $8,500: Our mid-tier target Andy Sullivan carries a very reasonable price tag this week when compared to the level of golf that he has displayed recently. Sullivan doesn't yet have a victory in 2018, but he has played at an exceptionally high level since January. The Englishman has not missed a cut this calendar year, logging nine consecutive cuts made. In those nine tournaments, Sullivan has recorded a Top-5, two Top-10's, and three Top-25's. He is very comfortable at Wentworth and has logged four consecutive Top-30 finishes since 2014 at the track located in his home country.

Alexander Levy - DraftKings - $8,300: The Frenchman rivals our other mid-tier selection Andy Sullivan for most successful 2018. Levy has played out of his mind this season, picking up a win at the Trophee Hassan II in April, to go along with his two Top-5 finishes this year. Levy's recent stats are ridiculous, but he is especially strong in the areas that should be important at Wentworth this week. He ranks 5th on the Euro Tour in Greens In Regulation, averaging almost 14 per round. His putter has been working also, as he ranks 27th in Putts Per Green In Regulation. Levy has flashed tournament winning upside this season and his a no-brainer at his moderate price tag.

Value Tier

Jorge Campillo - DraftKings - $7,800: Due to the strength of this week's field, we are able to grab Jorge Campillo at a significant discount. We find the Spaniard at a bargain price of $7,800 this week, which is around a $1,000 cheaper than his price over the last three Euro Tour events. Campillo has been knocking on the door of a victory all season, logging a runner-up finish at the Maybank Championship in January and three Top-5's since. Campillo has not really excelled at Wentworth, but he has made four consecutive cuts at the BMW PGA Championship, highlighted by a T-15 in 2016. I find it hard to ignore the discount we are getting on Campillo this week and will be rolling him out in GPPs.

Andrea Pavan - DraftKings - $7,100: For our final selection this week, I'm going with the red-hot Andrea Pavan. The Italian has been on a tear since April's Open de Espana, where he finished 21st. Pavan then finished third in the Trophee Hassan II and ninth in his most recent appearance at the Rocco Forte Sicilian Open. We get Pavan at an absolutely massive discount this week, considering his DraftKings price was $9,500 just a few short weeks ago. While he struggles with distance off the tee, he more than compensates with his excellent iron play. Pavan ranks 17th on the European Tour in Greens In Regulation. The Italian offers perhaps the best value of the week and is a great GPP play.

Be sure to look out for another European Tour article coming next week and don't miss my weekly PGA DFS Horse For The Course right here at RotoBaller!
