Tyrod Taylor Is The Starter When Healthy

Houston Texans head coach David Culley said that quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) will be the team's starter over rookie Davis Mills when he's healthy. Taylor has been making good progress, but he remains week-to-week and isn't expected to return from Injured Reserve to face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. In the season-opening win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Taylor went 21-for-33 for 291 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He was 10-for-11 for 125 yards and a touchdown before getting injured in Week 2. Mills had the best game of his season so far in the Week 5 loss to the New England Patriots, throwing for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, but he has completed only 61.5% of his 96 attempts through four games and has a 5:5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Taylor will be a low-end QB2 option when he returns to the starting gig.
