The Montreal Canadiens claimed goaltender Sam Montembeault off of waivers from the Florida Panthers on Saturday. The Quebec native, who was previously the third goaltender on the Panthers' depth chart, registered a 2.86 goals-against average and a .898 save percentage in 13 AHL starts last season. Considering Carey Price's health issues, Montembeault will likely serve as an insurance option for Montreal - capable of taking on backup duties should Price miss time. The 24-year-old has posted a 9-8-3 record to go along with a 3.20 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage in 25 NHL appearances.--Chase Davis - RotoBallerRead More News
