Kirill Kaprizov signed a five-year deal with the Minnesota Wild early Tuesday evening. The contract will pay him $9 million per season. Kaprizov almost hoped for a deal like this from the beginning. He even walked away from an eight-year deal with similar dollars over the summer. Little of that matters now as the Calder Trophy winner will be reporting to training camp with a new contract. Kaprizov scored 27 goals and had 51 points in 55 games as the Wild made it to the playoffs. Eight of his goals were on a man advantage that was one of the ten best over the second half of the season. Expectations only heighten with Kaprizov now that he has finally signed. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
