James Conner Draws Favorable Week 1 Matchup
James Conner will backup Chase Edmonds in Week 1. In a possibly high-scoring matchup against the Tennessee Titans, Conner could see valuable red-zone touches. If Conner reverts to playing the way he did in Pittsburgh when he was healthy, he could return more value than some people think in a Cardinals offense that should be able to put up plenty of points. Conner won't be the lead dog in this backfield, but he should be considered a flex option with more upside in standard-scoring leagues. He should also remain an Edmonds handcuff throughout the season. If Conner becomes the RB1 at any point in the season, his value could skyrocket. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has repeated time and time again that Edmonds and Conner enter this season in a 1A-1B backfield.
