Adalberto Mondesi To Be Activated On Wednesday
3 years agoThe Kansas City Royals will be activating shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (oblique) prior to Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Indians, according to Royals manager Mike Matheny. Mondesi will start at designated hitter in Wednesday's game. The 26-year-old has been out since June 20 due to an oblique injury and he has only played in a total of 10 games all year. Through those 10 games, he's slashed .361/.378/.833 with four home runs, one stolen base, nine RBI and six runs. While he'll certainly have some rust to shake off upon rejoining the majors, he also has a lot to prove over the last month of the year with the organization reportedly souring on him lately. Fantasy managers should keep him out of their lineups for now, but he could provide a big boost in steals over the final weeks of the year if he's able to settle in.
