Kenneth Gainwell Could See A Significant Workload
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders will open the season as the Eagles' starting running back, but Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell could also see significant workloads. Specifically, Gainwell has a chance "to emerge as the primary pass-catching threat out of the backfield" if Sanders' preseason struggles continue, according to Bo Wulf of The Athletic. The rookie turned heads during the draft process due to his impressive receiving skills but appeared destined for a depth role after landing with Philadelphia in the fifth round. However, in the end, it looks like the Memphis product could carve out a sizable role in his first pro season. Gainwell should be rostered in all dynasty leagues and even deeper redraft leagues, too. Uncertainty has plagued the Eagles' backfield all offseason, so it wouldn't be a terrible idea to secure some shares of Gainwell before it's too late.
