Lewis Brinson Forced To Leave Thursday's Game
Lewis Brinson (thumb) was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Washington Nationals. Brinson collided with fellow outfielder Bryan De La Cruz while the two were trying to catch a fly ball that both men were calling for the whole time. Brinson went glove-first into De La Cruz and immediately held his wrist in pain. He was diagnosed with a left thumb sprain, and X-rays were negative. He'll likely miss some time, but ultimately it seems like things didn't end up being as bad as they looked at first.
