Jed Lowrie Cranks Homer Versus Former Team On Friday
3 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Red Sox on Friday. Lowrie, who made his debut for Boston back in 2008, cracked a moonshot homer to dead-center as the veteran showed he still as pop in his bat. Lowrie has eight homers on the season to go with a .249 average, 37 runs scored, and 35 RBI. He shouldn't be expected to flash too much power as he's slugging under .400, and his days of stealing bases are behind him. As a result, his fantasy appeal is limited to deeper formats or leagues that utilize a middle-infield slot.
