Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Heston Kjerstad (myocarditis) may not play this season due to a reoccurrence of heart inflammation, general manager Mike Elias announced Wednesday. The O's number 2 overall pick in 2020 and number 3 prospect has yet to play professionally due to myocarditis, a viral infection that causes inflammation of the heart muscle. The team was hoping Kjerstad would report to their spring training and alternate site at Double-A Bowie in April, but he did not recover in time for either to happen. He experienced a setback recently, per Elias. While O's fans and fantasy dynasty managers are likely very excited to see Kjerstad play, his health beyond baseball obviously comes first.--Connelly Doan - RotoBallerRead More News
