Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson (lower body) and center Nicklas Backstrom (lower body) will take a seat on Saturday against Philadelphia. They join Alex Ovechkin (lower body) on the sidelines, so the Capitals are resting all of their big guns ahead of the playoffs. Justin Schultz (lower body) is back in the lineup and is set to eat up a lot of Carlson's minutes, while Lars Eller is centering the top line.
