Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi is making some progress in his recovery from an oblique injury. Mondesi was able to "do some more movements" per manager Mike Matheny- and he seems to be progressing well. The speedster is still without a timetable for return- though it's certainly positive news that he's able to build up his activity while on the injured list. Nicky Lopez, who has eight hits and a stolen base, will continue to hold the fort down at shortstop until Mondesi returns.--Tim Capurso
