DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 4/8/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy EuroLeague basketball plays and sleepers for 4/8/21. His EuroLeague DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

The last round of the EuroLeague season is upon us and two playoff spots are still up for grabs. Two teams with winning records will miss the playoffs. For Real Madrid, it's simple. If they win, they're in. All they have to do is beat the number 5 team to make that happen. Baskonia and Valencia, the teams in the 9 and 10 slots, play each other. We will have to wait until Friday to find out the fate of St. Petersburg, who is currently in the 8 spot and gets to play a Tel Aviv team that will not qualify.

As expected, Mike James was benched for the rest of the regular season. It will be interesting to see what CSKA does with him come playoff time since they are the 2 seed. There are a lot of questionable tags out there on this slate. For team that already have a spot locked up, I would lean towards guys like Nando de Colo and Jan Vesely sitting out. Those like Walter Tavares and Pierria Henry will play if at all possible with the team's playoff hopes on the line.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/8/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Jordan Loyd, Belgrade ($10,800)

Red Star is out of the EuroLeague playoffs, but they are in the playoffs for their domestic league. They likely wont mess with rotations too much. Loyd put up 31.5 DraftKings points in 34 minutes in the first meeting with Berlin. The bad news is that Loyd hasn't played more than 30 minutes since Round 15. He is always between 25 and 29 minutes, which makes him a solid floor type of player. However, he doesn't have the upside that he did before he missed seven rounds with a injury. I still feel like Loyd is the only guard I would spend up for.

Thomas Walkup, Kaunas ($8,600)

Walkup was cold for much of February, but he has five straight games over 20 DraftKings points to finish off March. Kaunas was eliminated last week in a heartbreaker against Munich, but Walkup still put up 26.5 DraftKings points in that one. The Athens guard rotation is a bit up in the air with Nemanja Nedovic back, but the team is firmly out of playoff contention. All that does is ruin the value of Howard Sant-Roos. Walkup is still going to play solid minutes and put up solid numbers. I can live with that.

Luca Vildoza, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($7,700)

Baskonia holds the tiebreak with Valencia and with St. Petersburg if they can come up with the win here. The status of Pierria Henry has the team a bit in flux, but the return of Vildoza to his normal self last week, even in a loss, is a huge positive. Obviously they would have rather punched their ticket already, but Baskonia is in a good position if they win. If they are to win this game, they are going to need the Vildoza of February instead of the Vildoza of March. I don't mind rolling the dice and betting on the February version for this price.

Also consider: Pierria Henry, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($9,700); Marko Guduric, Fenerbahce ($7,400); Iffe Lundberg, CSKA ($6,700); Janis Strelnieks, CSKA ($4,200)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Achille Polonara, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($12,100)

Polonara has really ramped up hi production with the few extra minutes that he has been getting with the absence of Tonye Jekiri. Since Jekiri went down in a domestic league game two weeks ago, Polonara has 141 DraftKings points in just three games, culminating in a co-MVP of rounds 32 and 33. That's a level that no one else on this slate can match. Polonara put up 42.25 DraftKings points in only 28 minutes in the first meeting with Valencia. Now that he's playing minutes in the high 30's, 50 is a real possibility here. I'm locking in Polonara as my first move in every lineup. I might lock in Rokas Giedraitis right beside him. Giedraitis has 112.25 DraftKings points in the three games without Jekiri.

Usman Garuba, Real Madrid ($7,200)

Garuba is just the next phenom buying time with Real Madrid until he can enter the NBA draft, a la Luka Doncic. Garuba will be a lottery pick next year as well. He may lose time if Sergio Llull returns, but I think Real Madrid is a better team with him on the court. Garuba has 75.25 DraftKings points over the last three games, playing more than 20 minutes in each. This is still Tavares's team, but Garuba has proven to be a good compliment. The team is 2-1 in those three games with the only loss coming to a snowballing Efes team.

Michael Eric, CSKA ($6,900)

No one player has filled the void left in the CSKA lineup with both Mike James and Nikola Milutinov out, but Eric is one of the bench pieces that has stepped up big with the extra playing time. He has cleared 20 DraftKings points in each of the last three rounds while not playing 20 minutes in any of those games. With the team in serious danger of losing the two seed, they may decide to go with the hot hand in Eric. Even if they don't, he has been doing a lot of damage off the bench. Certainly enough to justify paying this price for him.

Also consider: Walter Tavares, Real Madrid ($10,600); Johannes Voigtmann, CSKA ($9,200); Landry Nnoko, Belgrade ($7,000); Kyle O'Quinn, Fenerbahce ($6,700)
