The Minnesota Twins selected Tennessee outfielder Alerick Soularie with the 59th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Soularie hit .402/.513/.745 with 10 home runs and 23 stolen bases at a Texas Junior College and was taken in the 29th round by the Cardinals in 2018. He then finished second in the SEC in on-base percentage (.466) and third in batting average (.357) and slugging percentage (.602) last year. The 20-year-old controls the strike zone and barrels balls all over the field, but his right-handed swing isn't build for home runs. Scouts are somewhat puzzled by his overall skills, but he has produced with the bat and is aggressive on the bases.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
