The National Football League sent memos to teams on Sunday informing them that the negotiation window to talk to impending free agents will start on Monday, March 16, with the new league year officially beginning on Wednesday, March 18. Franchise-tag designations will also end Monday. There was uncertainty if the new league year would start on time due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it will start on time after all. However, travel restrictions could make it difficult for players to meet in person with free agents, beginning on Wednesday.
