RJ Barrett Fires Up 19 Shot Attempts In 27 Minutes
RJ Barrett has had a seesaw rookie season, but during Friday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers, he was shooting and shooting often. Barrett finished with 17 points, his most since Jan. 14, but it came on 8-for-19 shooting, tying the third-most shots that he has gotten up in an outing in his career. The long range stroke wasn’t there for the rookie, who shot 0-for-5 from deep (and has gone 0-for-11 over his last four games) but his aggressiveness on the offensive end bodes well for season-long owners who aren’t affected by field-goal percentage. He added four rebounds and two assists across his 27 minutes and is next set for a favorable matchup against Houston on Monday, who has been susceptible to impressive scoring outings by opposing guards this season.
