The New York Giants fired head coach Pat Shurmur on Monday after two seasons with the team, but they will retain general manager Dave Gettleman. Baylor head coach Matt Rhule is a focus of the team's coaching search, according to sources. He was the team's assistant offensive line coach in 2012. They've also requested permission to interview Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Shurmur was 9-23 in his two seasons with New York and is 19-46 in four seasons as a head coach with the Giants and Browns. Shurmur's hands were tied behind his back this year, as the Giants had more than $40 million in dead money and 10 rookies started at least one game. New York will now be looking for their fourth head coach in the last six years.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
