Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom recorded his first victory of the season in an 8-2 thrashing of the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. With the home team jumping out to a sizable lead early on, Markstrom faced a lot of rubber throughout the contest - ultimately turning aside 37 of 39 shots against. Overall, it's been a respectable start to the season for the Canucks undisputed No. 1 netminder, as he now carries a 2.37 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage through three starts. As scoring continues to go up throughout the league, Markstrom has remained a strong, consistent option in net with at least 60 starts and a .912 save percentage in each of his past two seasons. Fantasy owners could certainly do a lot worse for their second goaltender.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
