Trevor Siemian To Start For Jets
Trevor Siemian will start for the Jets Monday night against the Browns. Starter Sam Darnold (illness) has already been ruled out for the game and likely will miss the game against the Patriots in Week 3 as well. Siemian started 24 games for Denver in 2016 and 2017 throwing for only 5686 yards, 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions with a sub-60 percent completion percentage. The Jets offense struggled in Week 1 as it is so starting a backup QB is a downgrade to all of the Jets offensive weapons, especially deep threat Robby Anderson. Darnold is expected to be back after the Jets' bye in Week 4 so Siemian is not a viable add even in 2QB leagues as he'll be back on the bench before he's startable in that format.
