San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that wide receiver Jalen Hurd's (back) injury is more serious than initially feared. The Niners don't think Hurd's injury puts him in danger of landing on Injured Reserve, but Shanahan said it's "not looking as good" for Week 1 against the Buccaneers. With Hurd unlikely to suit up in the regular season opener and Dante Pettis also slowed by injury, we could be looking at Marquise Goodwin, Jordan Matthews and rookie Deebo Samuel seeing most of the work against a weak overall defense in the Bucs.
