Los Angeles Angels first baseman Justin Bour has been optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake. Bour is hitting just .183 with eight home runs in 45 games after hitting .292 last year. The move clears a roster spot for reliever Luke Bard. Bour will probably be back in the Majors at some point this season, but at this point it's hard to see him earning everyday playing time again and is a fantasy afterthought. Matt Thaiss should see more time at first base. He'll bat eighth tonight against Astros righty Garrett Cole.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
