Houston Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy will make his major league debut Tuesday against the Rockies. The 24-year-old gets the call to "The Show" thanks to a spike in his strikeout totals this season at Triple-A. Urquidy is 5-3 this season with a 3.40 ERA, a 0.98 WHIP and 104 strikeouts through only 76 2/3 innings pitched. Pitching in Coors Field is an unenviable task for a rookie to begin his journey into the big leagues but Urquidy will be thrown into the fire. The second half of the Astros rotation is up for grabs at present so if the rookie can string some strong starts together, he could give himself a chance to stick for the rest of the season.--Joey C - RotoBallerRead More News
