Brett Gardner Picks Up Three Hits In Win

While the long ball was once again prevalent for the New York Yankees Wednesday night against the Orioles, the club's wily veteran found other ways to contribute. Brett Gardner picked up just his second multi-hit game of the month and first three-hit game in a month as he also scored a run in the process. The 35-year-old also reached first on a walk, making that four appearances on-base for the day. While others contributed in bigger ways via the long ball, Gardner's three hits also played a key role in his club's victory as the Yankees maintained their two-game lead in the AL East.
