Ian Poulter shot a 12-over par at the Open Championship, missing the cut by a shocking nine strokes. Poulter came into Carnoustie as one of the top mid-tier sleeper choices to capture the Claret Jug, but a 10-over 81 on Friday was the third worst score of any golfer on the course. Poulter will quickly try to rebound this weekend when he takes on Glen Abbey and the RBC Canadian Open. The Englishman finished in third place during last year's event and once again appears to be suited for another good showing. Poulter, who only ranks 112th in his previous 100 rounds compared to the field in driving distance, should be able to make up for his lack of length with his birdie making skills. Poulter comes into the week ranked sixth compared to the field in birdies or better gained over his last 24 rounds. --Spencer Aguiar - RotoBallerRead More News
