Detroit Tigers closer Shane Greene (shoulder) will be undergoing MRI tests on Thursday. Greene was placed on the disabled list back on July 2 as the Tigers were concerned about his diminished velocity. The fact that they are doing additional tests does not bode well for the severity of Greene's ailment. The embattled closer was streaky, although ultimately effective this season with 19 saves and a 4.03 ERA. More should be known about Greene's injury after the tests, and Joe Jimenez projects to be the closer for the foreseeable future.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
