Zach Eflin Exits Sixth Straight Win With Blister

Led by starter Zach Eflin, the Philadelphia Phillies squeaked past the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park. Eflin was brilliant, going seven innings and allowing just two runs on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts. While he went seven innings, the 24-year-old was removed after just 82 innings, with manager Gabe Kapler later stating it was due to a blister on Eflin's right index finger. Regardless, it was Eflin’s sixth consecutive victory, becoming the first Phillies pitcher to pull off the feat since Cliff Lee seven years ago. His record improved to 7-2 while his ERA is now down to 2.97.
