Detroit Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones (hip) left Wednesday's game after appearing to land awkwardly on or near the first base bag while trying to beat out an infield hit. He has been diagnosed with a left hip contusion, but it is noteworthy that he stayed in the game to play center field the next half inning before being replaced in the third. For now, consider the young outfielder day-to-day. Jones has been swinging it well of late, but he'll likely return to a bench role when Leonys Martin returns from the disabled list this weekend.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
