Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez struck out 12 batters in six innings in Thursday's win over the San Francisco Giants. Velasquez surrendered three runs on five hits and one walk, improving to 3-4 on the season. The right-hander struggled out of the gate, giving up a solo home run to Gregor Blanco to open the game, and a two-run shot to Alen Hanson in the second. Velasquez was amazing after that, cruising through four innings of shutout baseball. The showing puts his ERA at 5.05. His inconsistency is difficult to trust, but days like this make him a streaming option in some matchups for his upside.--RJ Stacey
