When you look at Wednesday’s box score between the New York Mets and Cincinnati Reds, you’ll see that Mets infielder Asdrubal Cabrera finished 0-for-3. That is the official scoring, but make no mistake, Cabrera was better than what the box score says. You’ve no doubt heard by now about the lineup issue that became an automatic out for the Mets in the first inning, but for fantasy purposes, it hurt Cabrera big-time. Cabrera had slapped a double which was officially wiped, robbing him of his 18th extra-base hit of the year. Regardless, it probably won’t matter and Cabrera will likely stay hot over the weekend for the Mets’ series with the Philadelphia Phillies. After seemingly pressing at the plate, Cabrera came through with two hits on Tuesday prior to Wednesday’s miscue, so chances are he’s not looking at an extended cold streak.--John Smith
