FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (5/6/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

What's up guys and welcome to the Sunday FanDuel MLB Breakdown! We have a really nice eight game main slate on FanDuel today. Let's dive in and try to find some diamonds in the rough to help us take down a tournament.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/6/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @Rotogoodness.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Noah Syndergaard  - P, COL @ NYM (FD - $10,100)

Syndergaard is in an elite spot on today's slate. The Rockies are the worst team in the league against right-handed pitching. He has a K prediction of 7.4 and will have the benefit of pitching at home. It's going to be extremely cold and The Mets are huge -185 favorites.

Kyle Freeland - P, COL @ NYM (FD - $7,900)

Freeland is also in a nice spot since he will be enjoying the same pitching conditions we mentioned earlier in New York. The Mets are the worst team in the league against left-handed pitching. Their wRC+ of 66 and batting average of .209 are the worst in the league against lefties. He has an above average groundball rate and decent K upside. Freeland is an excellent but risky option in tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Matt Adams - C/1B, WSH vs PHI (FD - $3,900)

Adams has been absolutely demolishing right-handed pitching recently. He has terrific statcast data with a wOBA of .404 and a .322 ISO against righties. He has an insane average of 28 FanDuel points in his last four games. Hitting behind Bryce Harper and Trea Turner will greatly increase his RBI opportunities as well. He will most likely be popular but for good reason. Adams is an elite option in all formats.

Ozzie Albies - 2B, ATL vs SFG (FD - $4,700)

Albies is off to a fantastic start this year and has been obliterating the ball recently. He is on the right side of his splits today with a wOBA of .470 and ISO of .329 against left-handed pitching. He has great statcast data with a 43% fly ball rate. It's going to very hot and the wind will be blowing out to centerfield at 13mph. Hitting lead-off with HR and stolen base upside makes Albies a truly elite option today.

Travis Shaw - 3B, MIL vs PIT (FD - $3,800)

Shaw is in a great spot today at home in Miller Park. He has been crushing righties since the beginning of time with a wOBA of .394 and an ISO of .264. He has decent statcast data as well with a 42% hard hit and flyball rate. The wind will be blowing out to right field at 15mph. Travis is an elite autoplay at this point whenever he is facing a righty at home.

Eduardo Escobar - SS, MIN @ CWS (FD - $4,000)

Escobar has been mashing the ball recently and is in a solid spot against James Shields. Minnesota has been clicking on all cylinders recently and it only gets better today in Chicago. Escobar has a wOBA of .338 and an ISO of .229 against right-handed pitching with solid statcast data as well. The wind will be blowing out to right field at 13mph and the Twins are -140 favorites.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Bryce Harper - OF, WSH vs PHI (FD - $5,500)

It might seem obvious to play Harper but he is in an especially elite spot today. Like Matt Adams I mentioned earlier, Harper has also been a nightmare for righties. He has monster splits with a wOBA of .444 and .338 ISO against right-handed pitching. Bryce also possesses elite statcast data contributing to the Nationals 4.3 implied team total. He makes a nice mini-stack with Matt Adams in tournaments.

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF,  ATL vs SFG (FD - $4,000)

Acuna is off to a fantastic start to his MLB career. These are all small samples sizes but his advanced data has been unreal so far. His wOBA of .511 and ISO of .511 against left-handed pitching is truly remarkable. He has an exit velocity of 93.9mph and a 50% hard hit percentage. It's going to be hot with the wind blowing out in Atlanta. Acuna makes an amazing, high upside mini-stack with Albies.

Teoscar Hernandez - OF,  TOR @ TB (FD - $3,700)

Hernandez is in another stellar spot on today's slate. It worked out well for us last Sunday so let's hop back on. He has amazing splits against right-handed pitching with a wOBA of .414 and a .379 ISO. His statcast data remains strong as well with a 56% hard hit percentage. The matchup is slightly tougher than last week but Hernandez still provides immense upside leading off for Toronto.

Good luck today RotoBallers!
