Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Chad Bettis had a rough start to his night on Monday by giving up four earned runs in the first inning. However, his offense picked him up by getting them right back and Bettis settled into a groove for the next four innings of his outing. Bettis would be lifted after five innings and 94 pitches, but he left with a lead. His bullpen would go on to implode and leave him without a decision, but Bettis has now had four solid starts this year outside of a single inning in his most recent game. The catch is that his 2.40 ERA is still highly dependent on his 83.7 percent strand rate. His FIP is 4.44, and prospective owners should expect his ERA to begin heading in that direction soon.--Billy Stonick - RotoBallerRead More News
