Kansas City Royals pitcher Miguel Almonte was traded to the Los Angeles Angels after he was demoted. Almonte was initially demoted to make room for newly-acquired journeyman outfielder Abraham Almonte, and he was reportedly traded due to concerns about his health. Almonte's shoulder has reminded the Royals of the ongoing struggle they've had with one-time prospect Kyle Zimmer, so management apparently decided to move on from him quickly, per Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star.
