Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi scored a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night. He also totaled 12 penalty minutes in 16:16 of ice time. The rookie has carved out a spot on Detroit’s top line alongside Henrik Zetterberg and Gustav Nyquist, and translated it to 21 points in 42 games this season. His 39 penalty minutes are something worth paying attention to. If he keeps taking penalties at that rate, it would project to roughly 76 penalty minutes in a full season, which would have safely put Bertuzzi in the top 25 in the league for penalty minutes this year. Bertuzzi is a name to watch next season if he remains on the top line, as he should contribute significantly in penalty minutes while still scoring points occasionally.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
