Anton Khudobin Gets the Start Against St. Louis
7 years agoBoston Bruins goaltender Anton Khudobin has been named the starter for Wednesday night’s game against the St. Louis Blues. Khudobin has lost his last two starts, giving up three goals in each game, but received limited offensive support from a Bruins squad that is dealing with a myriad of injuries. Boston marches towards the playoffs with the second seed in the Atlantic division nearly secured, which likely explains why starter Tuukka Rask is being rested. Khudobin has started four of Boston’s last 10 games, which is a trend likely to continue as the season nears its end. The Blues are only averaging 2.75 goals per game while shooting 8.3 percent as a team, both numbers being below league average, which provides a good opportunity for Khudobin. With only four games scheduled for Wednesday night, Khudobin is as good of an option as will be available.
