FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/9/17): MLB DFS Advice

The games start at 1:00 PM EST today, so enjoy an entire day of baseball! If MLB does not look great after the first few games, just wait for NBA to start. What a great time to be alive.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/9/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel.

You can read our DraftKings and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @thedominatordfs.

Offensive Stacks

Oakland Athletics vs Martin Perez

The Oakland Athletics will face off tonight against the Texas Rangers and left-hander Martin Perez. Texas is a great place to hit for power hitters, and the Athletics make for a sneaky stack in tournaments. Players like Khris Davis, Ryon Healy, Rajai Davis, and Marcus Semian all have good splits. The Athletics are generally not owned too high, so this will separate a lineup in deeper leagues.

Also Consider: Los Angeles Dodgers vs Tyler Anderson

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Stephen Strasburg at PHI ($9,600)

Stephen Strasburg struggled in his first start, allowing two earned runs and striking out only three batters in seven innings of work. He needs to get that strikeout pitch working. The Philadelphia Phillies strikeout 0.2581 times per at-bat, and Strasburg has a great SO/9. His WHIP is solid at 1.1, as well. Roster him in tournaments.

Lance McCullers vs KC ($8,900)

Lance McCullers gets a tough matchup against the Kansas City Royals, a team that has solid contact hitters. This season, however, the Royals are striking out at over 0.280 times per at-bat. McCullers has one of the best SO/9 in the league. His price tag is very reasonable on FanDuel. Roster him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Buster Posey - C, at SD ($3,900)

Buster Posey has a very positive ISO differential tonight against the San Diego Padres and left-hander Clayton Richard. He is a right-handed bat, and his price tag is reasonable. The San Francisco Giants have been struggling, but it has only been a couple games. Panic mode is not necessary.

Ryon Healy - 1B, at TEX ($3,100)

As previously mentioned in the stacks section of this article, Ryon Healy gets a good matchup against the left-handed pitcher. He is, like Buster Posey, a right-handed bat. His price tag is very low, and it is easy to hit in Texas. All the stars are aligned here.

Logan Forsythe - 2B, at COL ($3,500)

Logan Forsythe may not have positive ISO or wOBA differential tonight, but he does get the Coors Field bump. Tyler Anderson is a left-handed pitcher, and Forsythe bats from the right side of the plate. He has a ton of power at the second base position, which is sometimes difficult to find.

Jedd Gyorko - 3B, vs CIN ($2,500)

Jedd Gyorko is confirmed at the seven spot in the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup. He has a 0.157 ISO differential today, which is absolutely fantastic. His price tag is very low. This is one of the best salary relief options available.

Francisco Lindor - SS, at ARI ($3,700)

Francisco Lindor is one of the best hitting shortstops in the league, and he is hitting in Arizona right now. Arizona is one of the best stadiums for fantasy owners to target. His price tag is high, but if the extra money is available, spend it here.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Franklin Gutierrez - OF, at COL ($3,400)

Franklin Gutierrez has very positive wOBA and ISO differentials tonight against the Colorado Rockies and Tyler Anderson. He is actually tough to avoid, even though baseball is very difficult to predict. A home run here can almost be expected. Roster Gutierrez in all leagues.

Hunter Pence - OF, at SD ($2,800)

This recommendation simply comes down to price. Hunter Pence is entirely too cheap on FanDuel right now. He has extra base and home run upside, and Clayton Richard is not going to keep the Giants' team at bay, even in Petco Park. Pence is a great option in all leagues.
