Week 14 Monday Night Football Analysis: Matchups We Love and Hate

Vladimir De Wet analyzes the Week 14 Monday Night Football matchups for 2015, and provides fantasy football start/sit advice. Set your optimal lineups based on fantasy football matchups.

Monday Night Football features two teams desperately trying to keep up with the race for the playoffs.

The promos have featured two of the NFL's biggest stars and they're not the two $100 million quarterbacks! This is a pass happy league and two little wide receivers will be the most dangerous fantasy prospects on the field. Obviously you're going to start Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, but what other players are worth it?

Both teams come in pretty healthy so there are plenty of potential fantasy stars and duds, check them out below.

Monday Night Football Analysis - Giants @ Dolphins

Matchups We Love

Will Tye, TE, Giants - Tye is an undrafted rookie free agent that barely made the team. After a lot of injuries he is now the team's main passing option down the middle. Tye has put together three straight decent TE performances as he has settled into his role in the offense. The young TE has four straight games of at least five targets. He won't see more targets than five or so, but that should be enough for him to have a decent day. Tye has yet to catch a touchdown but that is likely to change sooner rather than later.

DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins - Rishard Matthews will likely be out for the third straight week or - if he does play - he will at least be limited. Parker was supposed to start the season as Jarvis Landry's sidekick but Matthews took that role over and never let it go. After doing literally nothing for six straight weeks Parker has back-to-back games with a touchdown catch.

The Dolphins will be looking to get their first round pick some playing time as the season comes to a close. The Giants secondary might be the worst in the league with the Ravens and Saints close behind. If Parker can get the 7.5 targets he's averaged over the last two weeks than he will have another good day against an awful defense.

Matchups We Hate

Giants RBs - The Giants have a genuine running back by committee right now. If you were to combine Shane Vereen, Rashad Jennings, Orleans Darkwa and Andre Williams into one running back they still wouldn't be worth the start. The Giants have only rushed for more than 100 yards twice as an entire team. Stay away.

Reuben Randle, WR, Giants - Randle has seemingly regressed the entire year instead of getting better. He has gotten a consistent chance to prove himself every week but has only proven how unreliable he is. The Giants seem prepared to move on from the Randle experiment and start giving other receivers a look. The only question is what took them so long to finally realize this.

Jordan Cameron, TE, Dolphins - Normally any TE going against this Giants defense would be a sure thing. Except Cameron hasn't played well enough this season to continue trusting him. Cameron's lack of production makes him not worth the look despite the fact this might be his best matchup the rest of the season.

Notable Players

Lamar Miller, RB, Dolphins -Miller is healthy and ready to go after a good game last week. The Giants are okay at stopping the run but shouldn't be expected to do much against Miller.

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Dolphins - Tannehill has been extremely inconsistent this season. He went from over 300 yards passing two weeks ago to under 90 just a week ago. The Dolphins played the Ravens last week, so it's not like they had stiff competition.

There's no telling what Tannehill will show up against the Giants. Because he is talented and QB's tend to do well against the Giants, he should have a decent day. Then again, that same thought process would have been true last week, but he was the worse QB in football.

Eli Manning, QB, Giants - Eli has had an inconsistent career but this year has been one of his best. Despite not always putting up crazy numbers he has been somewhat consistent fantasy wise. As long as Odell Beckham Jr. is on the field than Manning is capable of having a decent day.

Jarvis Landry, WR, Dolphins - Landry had an awful game against the Ravens but I fully expect him to bounce back in a big way against the Giants. The Giants have given up the most passing yards in the league and the Dolphins will be actively trying to get the ball in Landry's hands.  Don't be surprised if Landry outshines that other wide receiver from LSU.
