Anquan Boldin (WR, SF) - 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Draft as high end WR3; target ~95

CURRENT ADP: Standard 116, PPR 104

ANALYSIS: Anquan Boldin is turning 35 years old and entering his 13th season in the league this year. For the first time in Boldin's three years as a 49er he enters the season without head coach Jim Harbaugh.

In the veteran receiver's first two seasons with San Francisco and young quarterback Colin Kaepernick he averaged a stat line of 84/1120.5/6. He also had a little over 5 receptions per game and around 40% of his receptions resulted in first downs. Back to back 1,000 yard and 5+ touchdown years while playing in 32 straight regular season games has shown just how consistent and full of class Anquan is as a wide receiver. This consistency gives him greater value in PPR leagues but still the Florida State product should be sought after in middle rounds in all leagues.

The addition of former Baltimore Raven teammate Torrey Smith compliments Boldin's possession receiver skills because of Smith's "blow the top off the defense" speed. Boldin has been targeted by Kaepernick an average of 130 times during their time together and that shouldn't change. The wily old receiver has been young Kaepernick's most reliable and consistent target.

During both the 2013 and 2014 seasons Boldin finished as the 15th and 22nd best fantasy receiver overall, respectively. Currently the former Arizona Cardinal star is being drafted as the 44th overall receiver. That is a steal for his potential production as he could end the season as a WR2 for the third year in a row.
