Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: Week 11 Recap

RotoBaller experts have scoured the dregs of free agent pools across the fantasy baseball world to bring you RotoBaller.com's Ultimate Waiver Wire Watch List. This is the weekly recap for all fantasy baseball week 10 waiver wire updates. All of the fantasy analysis is provided by RotoBaller staff experts.

Our goal is simple: to help you build the best fantasy baseball team and win your league.  Our waiver wire list brings you all the players who are hot, or those who might be relevant in fantasy baseball at some point.  All are largely unowned in standard leagues, and ripe for the plucking. We'll help you decide which ones to pick up, and when to pull the trigger.  Not sure who to drop?  Ask us in our chat room.

POS PLAYER MOVE DATE BALLER FANTASY BASEBALL ANALYSIS
SP Jarrod Parker ADD ASAP 6/14 Alex Roberts It's clear that Parker has found the mojo which led to him being the highest-upside Oakland pitcher coming into this year. Yes, he struggled terribly for nearly 5 weeks, but his perhipherals were nice and shiny most of that time, and now we're finally seeing some luck turn in his favor. Over his past six starts Parker's line looks like this: 42.1 IP, 27 K's, 37 baserunners and he is coming off a nice solid performance against the Yankees. Parker is a top 20 starter over the past month, and while his ownership has yet to reflect that performance, you can seize the opportunity. Immediately!
SP Dan Straily ADD ASAP 6/13 Ryan Rufe Straily has been on a roll lately, lowering his ERA from 7.27 to 4.45 since May 15th. He's won 3 out of his past 5 starts, including last night's victory at home against the Yankees. Even more impressive, the typically homer-prone pitcher hasn't given up a long ball in 6 straight starts. I've got Straily on a few teams right now and would encourage you to pick him up as a back-end starter in deeper mixed leagues.
SP Andrew Cashner ADD ASAP 6/12 Alex Roberts Cashner's Ks are well down from the elite numbers he put up last year, but he's taking big-time advantage of pitching in the league's most pitcher-friendly ballpark. He's put up a 3.52 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 71.2 IP this year with 51 K's and 5 Ws. He should be owned in all leagues honestly and his 32% ownership is hard to fathom.
SP Gerrit Cole ADD ASAP 6/12 Alex Roberts It is unclear how long Cole will be in the rotation as his chance came because of injuries, but while he's pitching he's a must own across the board. He's one of the top pitching prospects and showed why in his first start at home against the Giants. Cole went 6.1 IP with 2 Ks and 0 BBs and only allowed 2 ER on 7 hits. Solid performance for the 22 year old. Cole's strikeouts were down in the minors this year which is a big concern, but he's shown serious punchout stuff in the past and should regain that as he settles in.
SP David Phelps ADD ASAP 6/10 Alex Roberts With the exception of a flukey .1 IP 4 ER start a couple weeks back, Phelps has been pretty nasty over the past month. He is putting up a K per inning with great ratios (1 ER and 11 baserunners in his past 12 IP) and is good to run out there for all of his starts now. Phelps should be owned in nearly all leagues because of his K and W potential pitching for the Yankees.
SP Francisco Liriano ADD ASAP 6/9 Uncle Leo After a rough outing @DET that had many Liriano doubters wondering if he could continue his hot start to 2013, he silenced all critics with a masterful 11 K performance over 6 IP with just 1 ER and 1 BB allowed. Last night Liriano followed that up with another gem, spinning 7 shutout innings, with 8Ks and a win. His stat line for the year is now a ridiculous 1.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 47Ks in 36 IPs. Liriano is cruising and is a must own in all leagues right now.
SP Jose Fernandez ADD ASAP 6/9 Chris Hawkins Staying in the NL and despite getting hit hard against Tampa at the end of May, it’s hard not to like what Jose Fernandez (50%) has done this year down in Miami. He was excellent last outing going 6 frames while allowing 6 baserunners, 1 ER and striking out 7. He hasn’t been particularly lucky or unlucky with most all metrics saying his 3.17 ERA is just about right. He’s demonstrating nice control with a BB rate of 9%, striking out better than a batter an inning and getting ahead of batters 66% of the time which is fantastic. Y
RP Kenley Jansen ADD ASAP 6/13 Chris Lacey With Brandon League blowing his fourth save, it was only a matter of time until the Dodgers made a change. Jansen has been terrific in the eighth inning this season. He has struck out 46 batters in only 33 innings pitched, and he has a sparkling 0.95 WHIP to go with 12.5 K/9. Nasty. That is elite stuff. Run fast to your waiver wire and add him immediately if he's avaialble.
OF Adam Dunn ADD ASAP 6/12 Alex Roberts Dunn has 3 HRs and 6 RBIs in his last 2 games; he's about as hot as can be and deserves to be owned everywhere until he cools down at least. You can't bank on a BA greater than .200, but Dunn is on pace for 40 HR and 100 RBIs and that must be owned in all leagues no matter the baggage it comes with. Dunn's ownership has been skyrocketing and sits at 59% so head to your waiver wire and make the move immmediately, if not sooner!
OF Daniel Nava ADD ASAP 6/10 Alex Roberts Nava is finally getting some respect in Yahoo! leagues and his ownership now stands at 65%. His .302-8-39 line is fantastic and is mixed league worth even in 3 OF 12 team leagues. He's been very consistent throughtout the whole year and if you are struggling for some all-around production from your 3rd or 4th OF, Nava is a great option.
OF Gerrado Parra ADD ASAP 6/8 Chris Hawkins Ryan Braun-lite? Anyone who can put up a .300+ BA, .375 OBP, 15 HRs, 15 SBs, and 100+ R over the course of a season should be owned in more than 60% of leagues. He won't give you the RBIs you would expect from Braun hitting lead-off and with ugly splits vs. LHP, but he's a great value play and should receive plenty of PT as long as Eaton remains injured.
1B Adam Lind ADD ASAP 6/13 Reid Contini Lind is on fire this season with a .344/.418/.958 triple-slash and is producing for the Blue Jays in big way. The power is not there with only 6 HR and just 18 RBI, but he is proving to be a consistent hitter. He could be useful if you need some not-quite-empty short-term batting average help.
1B Adam Dunn ADD ASAP 6/12 Alex Roberts Dunn has 3 HRs and 6 RBIs in his last 2 games; he's about as hot as can be and deserves to be owned everywhere until he cools down at least.
2B Jedd Gyorko ADD ASAP 6/12 Alex Roberts Big blow for Gyorko owners has he hit the DL with a strained groin and it's not even clear how long he'll be sidelined. He was tearing it up across the board with a .330-5-13-23-1 line the previous month so this is a big blow. He was playing like a borderline top-5 2B/3B, and he deserves to be owned in all leagues even if that means stashing him on the DL.
SP Corey Kluber ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Corey Kluber has a sparkling 57:12 K:BB ratio over 57 IP. He has a 4.08 ERA and 1.22 WHIP on year which isn't great, but over his past 5 starts he sports an incredible 34:5 K:BB ratio in 33 IP. He's cruising right now and he's got a nice schedule over the next month. If you need deep league and K help, he's a fine addition.
SP Josh Johnson ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Johnson has been pitiful since retuning from the DL and joining the Jays' rotation. He's only had 2 quality starts over his first 6 outings. He's given up 5 HR in just 31.2 IP. He's walking more batters than he ever has, and he plays in a real tough division. If there are starters like Miguel Gonzales or Corey Kluber available in your league, it's really not out of the question to take the current production over the future potential.
SP Wandy Rodriguez ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts The timetable for Wandy to retunr from the DL is unclear, but he originally wasn't even expected to hit the DL so hopefully he's not out that long. He was pitching great with a 3.59 ERA and 1.12 WHIP and he's a nice deep league pitcher when healthy. Keep him stashed for now.
SP Ubaldo Jimenez ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Time to put an end to the Ubaldo is a must-own gibberish. In his last start, he managed 5 IP wihtt 8 baserunners and a shiny 4:4 K:BB ratio. The start before that, he went 3 IP, giving up 10 baserunners and 5 runs (3 earned) with just 3 K's. He's volatile, and messy, and he might destroy your ratios in any given start. He's a low-end option except for the deepest of leagues.
SP Dillon Gee ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Reid Contini Gee was really, really bad for the bulk of April and May– so bad, in fact, that Rotoballer once picked an opposing starter versus the Mets almost solely because his mound opponent was Gee. But the crafty righthander seems to have straightened things out of late, as he’s gone 2-1 in his past three starts with a 3.26 ERA and sick 23/1 K/BB ratio. Gee averaged 8.0 K/9 last season and possesses good control, so he’s worth a look as he begins trending upward. The next two matchups are a bit tough, as Gee gets the Cardinals and Braves, but be sure to monitor his performance and don’t be afraid to make a short-term investment.
SP Miguel Gonzalez ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Reid Contini Gonzalez came out of nowhere last season to post a 3.25 ERA and 77/35 K/BB ratio in 105.1 innings; so far it’s been much of the same in 2013. The righthander uses great command to harness a very solid five-pitch arsenal highlighted by a strong splitter and hard slider, and he’s put up a 30/8 K/BB ratio in his last 32.1 IP. Fresh off a dominant 8-inning, 1-ER effort versus the Angels, Gonzalez now boasts a 3.71 ERA and 1.22 WHIP for the season. He’s quickly becoming a reliable fantasy option.
SP Colby Lewis ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts Lewis has experienced a set-back and his timetable is far from clear at this point. If you're already stashing him on your DL, continue to hold him, but temper your expectations as it wouldn't surprise us if he was out until the all-star break.
SP Jeff Locke ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts Locke has suprised many this year with his above-average pitching for the Pirates. After Sunday's start (5.2 IP, 8 baserunners (7 BBs), 6 Ks, 1 ER) he's got respcetable ratios on the year with a 2.45 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. He was really luck in his Sunday start against the Cubs though - anytime you give up 6 BBs, you're asking for big trouble. Locke may be seeing his good fortune run out. His next start comes home against LAD which is a favorable start.
SP A.J. Griffin ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts The twenty-five year old Griffin hasn't been exceptional this year, but you have to respect the fact that he has gone at least 6 innings in 10 out of his 12 starts thus far. In his last two starts, Griffin's pitched 14.1 IP with 10 Ks, 2 BBs and just 4 ER. He's a solid #5/6 but doesn't have too much upside. Griffin should be owned in deep leagues but he's nothing special for shallow leagues.
SP Chris Tillman ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts Tillman is still getting it done with part smoke and mirros and part improved K-rate. He pitched effectively against TB on Sunday (6 IP, 2 ER, 5 baserunners, 5 Ks and the W). Tillman's 3.967 ERA and 1.32 WHIP o nthe year make him nothing more than a low-end 8th or 9th SP on a deep pitching squad, but he's still mixed-league worth in 12 team leagues. His next start comes home against Boston which is a risky matchup.
SP Zach Wheeler ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/9 Chris Hawkins Matt Harvey is obviously the big rookie name in Queens this year (although who saw that shellacking coming against the Marlins?), but Zach Wheeler (26% owned) shouldn’t be too much further behind in toeing the rubber at Citi. Wheeler hasn’t been overly impressive at AAA (3.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, .719 OPS, 1.2 HR/9 and 3.7 BB/9), but he is fanning better than a batter an inning. The Mets' starting rotation has been far from dazzling this season, and with most teams calculating the Super Two “deadline” having already passed, it should just be a short matter of time before we see the top-15 preseason prospect.
SP Shaun Marcum ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/9 Ryan Rufe I know Shaun Marcum hasn't been great this year, but I was really surprised to see his ownership percentages at a paltry 21% in Yahoo! leagues and 33% in CBS leagues. I'm guessing both numbers will rise a bit after today's marathon game relief performance against the Marlins, where Marcum pitched 8 solid innings, albeit in a losing effort. He only gave up 5 hits in the outing (1 ER) with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Go ahead and stash him on your bench if you have the room in case this is a sign of a turnaround for the 31 year old.
SP Gerrit Cole ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/9 Chris Hawkins It appears the word is out on Gerrit Cole (28%) who’s been added in over 33,000+ Yahoo leagues in the past 48 hours, but he’s still unowned in 80% of leagues. For those of you who haven’t heard, Wandy Rodriguez’s next start has been pushed back, and the Pirates are expected to bring up the 2011 1st round pick who was ranked as a preseason top 10 (Baseball America and MLB). Cole hasn’t been entirely dominating AAA displaying only a 6.1 K/9 and 2.87 ERA, but he has held opposing batters to a .573 OPS. There’s always some concern anytime a player makes the jump to the big stage, but I would rather roll the dice on Cole right now in his first few starts than trot out a struggling Yovani Gallardo (84%) or Jeremy Hellickson (49%). If you’re in need of pitching help, Cole is definitely worth a roll of the dice.
RP Carter Capps ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Frankie Pais Nothing like a Closer controversy on a team that struggles to notch Wins. Seattle's Closer, Tom Wilhelmsen, is in the midst of a total meltdown. One more 9th inning fail could mean that Carter Capps steps into his "closer of the future" role. Capps has cooled a bit but still has decent peripherals: 10.93 K/9, 3.54 ERA. His WHIP is a little bitter, but it's Seattle. The ballpark is very safe.
RP Charlie Furbush ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Frankie Pais The analysis on Carter Capps also plays for Charlie Furbush. Furbush may be second in line to Capps, but he has actually pitched much better than Capps in recent weeks. Four of his five Holds have come in the last month. And his numbers are sweeter than Capps: 12.24 K/9, 1.08 WHIP. I personally would gamble on Furbush before Capps.
OF Matt Joyce ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Joyce continues to mash with 2 HR in his last 4 games. The lefty slugger is killing RHP to the tune of a .266-.366-.519 triple slash line. Unfortunately, he can't hit bupkis from lefties, but that's fine cause he doesn't start against lefties. What this means is, if you have a deep bench and play in a league with 4 OF slots, Joyce is well worth owning. His 12 HR on the year put him on pace for more nearly 30 when all is said and done.
OF Will Venable ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/13 Chris Lacey With Cameron Maybin hitting the shelf for another six weeks, you could look to San Diego center fielder Will Venable for an intriguing power/speed combo. He’s got 8 HR and 9 SB so far in 167 AB for the Padres, and though he’s the kind of player you want to play matchups with, as he struggles (and often sits) against lefties, nevertheless Venable is definitely someone to consider for outfield help in deep leagues.
OF Cameron Maybin ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/13 Alex Roberts Maybin had 4 SB and a HR in 4 games since returning from the DL, with 4 RBIs and 3 runs as well. But he hit the shelf with a PCL strain and is now out for 6 weeks. If you have a deep DL, keep him stashed, otherwise he's safe to cut loose.
OF Colby Rasmus ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Reid Contini Once a top prospect, Rasmus was a star-in-the-making after a 23-homer/.859 OPS 2010, but that all seems a distant memory now. A controversial exit from St. Louis and two consecutive terrible seasons had Rasmus on the brink in Toronto, but he’s showing signs of life since the start of May and could actually be a decent stopgap right now. In the past three weeks Rasmus has hit .307/.354/.547 and slugged four homers, putting him on pace for a 26-homer campaign with decent rate stats. The outfielder is worth a look if you’re thin at the position.
OF Kyle Blanks ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts Blanks has been on fire with 3 HR and 7 RBIs over his last 6 games. He's batting .300-.383.-.527 on the year which is serviceable in every 12 team league. He's a post-hype sleeper with big-time power potential and if you need a quick HR boost, Blanks deserves a look.
OF Mike Carp ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Uncle Leo Mike Carp has been on a tear recently, and most importantly has been playing nearly every game for the Red Sox. Over his last 7 games, Carp is sizzling with 3 HRs, 7 Runs, 6 RBIs and a .500 batting average. Over his last 14 games, Carp also has 3 HRs, 8 RBIs, 10 Runs, and is batting .364. Needless to say he's in the middle of a hot streak, and can be started in all league formats until he cools off. The OF/1B eligibility is another added bonus.
OF Jayson Werth ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/8 Chris Hawkins He hasn't done much since returning from the DL (1 for 8, 4Ks), but with the Washington OF already banged up, the $126M man should be given an opportunity to find his stroke. With all his time on the DL this year, there's not too much to evaluate him on yet, but the underlying data is pretty much par for the course. ROS - double digit HRs, with a handful of steals and a .350+ OBP is pretty valuable on the wire.
1B Mitch Moreland ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Alex Roberts Moreland's ownership plummeted after he hit the DL, so presumably many of you don't have space for him, don't have DL slots, or just don't think highly of him. His numbers prorate to .288-35-90 over a full season. Yes, you read that right. If some schelprock dropped Moreland and you have DL space, add him now!
1B Lance Berkman ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/10 Alex Roberts Berkman has slowed down a lot recently. Over his past 10 games he has 0 HR and 1 RBI and his average has dropped 20 pts. He should get back into a groove soon but until then he's not worth owning outside of deeper leagues.
1B Eric Hosmer ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/9 Ryan Rufe Ever since George Brett was named the Royals' hitting coach, Hosmer has turned it on at the plate with 3 mulit-hit games in his past seven. He has 3 RBIs, 5 runs scored and a SB in that span as well. The lack of HRs is disappointing, but perhaps this is a sign of a turnaround? I'd say he's worth a speculative add if he's available in your league.
2B Josh Rutledge ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Rutledge was one of the best out-of-nowhere success stories of 2012, but he struggled in the first month and a half in 2013. He was sent down to Triple-A and has batted .393 with 2 HRs, 10 RBIs, 13 Runs and 5 SBs in just 69 ABs. All of a suddent, Tulo has gone done with a broken rib, which means Rutledge will get another shot. If you need MI help in deep leagues, add Rutlege as he has the abilities to to up nice numbers in Colorado.
2B Dan Uggla ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Chris Lacey Uggla won’t be winning a batting title anytime soon with his .191 BA. However, he consistently puts up great power numbers, as indicated by his 13 HR and 27 RBI thus far. The main concern here is the startling 82 strikeouts already this season. He is pretty much a two-true outcomes guy, very all-or-nothing at this point in his career. If you can afford the BA hit, go ahead and take those home runs to the bank
SS Jurickson Profar ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Alex Roberts Profar has been stuck recently, with no HR or RBIs over his last 8 games. This is lesson number 100 in why you shouldn't invest or expect too much from really young prospects. Profar will be a star one day, but he's striking out a lot more recently (7:1 K:BB ratio over his past 5 games) and is not hitting for any power. He's still worth holding onto in deep leagues but if his cold stretch lasts much longer he may even get sent back down in which case you can cut him loose in non-keeper leagues.
SS Zach Cozart ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Alex Roberts Cozart has been hot over the past couple days (4-for-9 with a HR, 4 RBIs and 4 Runs) and any time a player puts up a two-day stretch at a shallow position like SS, it's worth a speculative add if you're in desperate need of help.
3B Pedro Alvarez ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/12 Alex Roberts Alvarez has been in a real nice groove lately with 4 HR and 8 RBI's over his last 8 games. His BA will never rise that far above .200, but as long as he's hitting for power (he's on pace for 32 HRs and 90 RBIs), you can consider him an Adam Dunn Lite and own him in deep 12 team leagues with a CI spot.
C Jarod Saltalamacchia ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/14 Alex Roberts Saltalamacchia has been great for the Red Sox over the past week, with 3 HR and 10 RBIs. He's incredibly streaky and only worth owning in 12 team single catcher leagues when he's hot, but that is right now. So pick him up and ride out his hot streak until it comes to an end. Then drop him for the next hot catcher. Rinse and repeat.
C Mike Zunino ADD IN DEEP LEAGUES 6/13 Ryan Rufe Zunino's promotion to the M's came as a bit of a surprise considering he was struggling to hit the ball (.238 batting average) at Triple-A Tacoma. Nevertheless, he made his MLB debut Wednesday night against the Astros and went 1-4, hitting out of the six-hole in the Mariners lineup. For a reasonable comparison, I think we can expect Flowers/Iannetta type production from Zunino as a low batting average, solid power kind of guy who has far more upside than the aforementioned players. Zunino's upside alone makes him a must-add in 2 catcher leagues.
SP Danny Duffy CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/10 Ryan Rufe Danny Duffy hit a snag in his rehab assignment for Triple-A Omaha Monday night after allowing 9 baserunners and 6 runs in 2.1 innings. I'd still keep an eye on him for his strikeout potential, but he'll need to do better to have any chance of joining the Royals' rotation anytime soon.
SP Jose Quintana CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/10 Alex Roberts Quintana hasn't been able to keep up his early season peripheral improvements. His groundball and strikeout rates have dropped closer to his 2012 levels and it's obvious that he's not giving fantasy owners much in any start. Quintana doesn't really get blown up, but he can't shutdown teams or rack up enough Ks to be mixed-league worthy outside of streaming his starts here and there.
SP Kyle Lohse CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/10 Alex Roberts Lohse's 2013 season really makes you believe in the magic of Dave Duncan, the STL pitching coach who is famours for getting the most out of mediocre arms. Lohse had two fantastic season's in STL and has followed it up with a big dud in Milwaukee this year. His last start was encouraging however: 8 IP, 5 baserunners, 1 ER, 6 Ks and the W on Sunday vs. PHI. Keep an eye on Lohse as this could be the start of something nice.
SP Tyler Skaggs CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/9 Chris Hawkins With the recent setback of Daniel Hudson and Ian Kennedy getting destroyed the other night, I’m more bullish on Skaggs sticking around for 2013. He was ranked as a preseason top 15 prospect by Baseball America and MLB, and he’s actually had quite a bit more success at the MLB level than at AAA (5.23 ERA and 1.37 WHIP) even despite Tuesday night’s outing. I like the 9.5 K/9 and 3.4 K/BB he showed in the minors, but he’s had 4 outings (including 3 at AAA) where he’s yielded 5 or more ERs. Those are numbers that can kill you in a H2H league and which make him a risky bet.
OF Ichiro Suzuki CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/14 Alex Roberts / Jeff Klein We can't justify owning Ichiro outside of AL-only leagues. He's been terrible and not showing any signs that he can prodeuce like he did in 2012 after he was traded to the Yankees. If by some chance you still own him for nostalgia sake, take this moment to take a breath and cut him loose.
OF Jon Jay CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/14 Uncle Leo Jay is a very low end fantasy player. Decent RBI and Run total mostly as a result of the lineup he plays in, but with only 4 HR, 2 SB and a .251 BA on the year, he's not worth owning anywhere. Keep an eye on him for his hot stretches.
2B Nick Franklin CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/14 Alex Roberts Aside from his big 2 HR game a couple weeks back, Franklin hasn't done anything to merit owning him outside of AL-only leagues. If you've been holding onto him hoping for some rookie magic...don't.
SS Javier Baez CONTINUE SCOUTING 6/10 Ryan Rufe For those of you in keeper or dynasty leagues, Javier Baez - the Cubs #1 prospect as ranked by MLB.com - had a night to remember for the Daytona Cubs (A+ affiliate). He went 4-4 with 4 HRs (!) and 7 RBIs (!!!). While he's unlikely to be promoted to the majors this season, he's someone that keeper or dynasty owners should invest in as he is drawing Gary Sheffield comparisons.
