Jordon Davison Suffers Significant Injury, Will Miss Regular-Season Time
Oregon running back Jordon Davison (undisclosed) will miss the remainder of fall camp and some time in the regular season, according to Zachary Neel of Ducks Wire. This is a tough blow for Davison after suffering a broken collarbone in the team's College Football Playoff game against Texas Tech last season. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. As a true freshman, the California native led the team with 667 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. His injury puts Dierre Hill, who rushed for 656 yards on just 75 carries last year, in the clear RB1 role to open the season. Da'Jaun Riggs, who missed most of the 2025 season due to injury, and Simeon Price, who transferred from Colorado, could be in line for more work than anticipated during Davison's absence. Oregon squares off against Boise State, Oklahoma State, and Portland State in its first three games before opening conference play on the road against USC on September 26. UPDATE: Neel has provided an update to his report: "There is some optimism within the Oregon camp that RB Jordon Davison might not miss as much time as was originally feared. More testing is taking place."
