High-Confidence Strikeout Picks
All odds were current as of 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 5/26/26
Chase Burns OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-105 Fanatics)
Burns has been outstanding for the Reds this season, posting a 1.83 ERA through 10 starts. He has accumulated an impressive 28.2% strikeout rate in that time, and his 15.6% swinging-strike rate is even more impressive. The young righty has racked up at least seven strikeouts in seven of his 10 starts this season.
Tonight's matchup against the Mets presents a couple of advantages. First, the ballpark shift from Great American to Citi Field is a huge boost for pitchers, and the Mets have also struggled mightily against right-handed pitching this season. Their 85 wRC+ is tied for the league's worst production.
Chase Burns looks like one of the best starters in baseball at just 23 years old 🔥

Burns should be able to get into the mid-to-late innings against this underachieving Mets group, which gives him a great chance to clear his strikeout line.
Cam Schlittler OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-140 Bet365)
Schlittler has been even better than his lofty prospect status teased entering this season, exceeding all expectations with a 1.50 ERA through 11 starts. He is averaging 98 mph on his four-seam fastball and ranks in the top 10 in both strikeout rate and swinging-strike rate among qualified starting pitchers.
The righty has recorded at least six strikeouts in nine of his 11 starts this season, and his fastball has produced an elite 36.6% whiff rate.
The matchup against Kansas City is also a positive, as they have whiffed at a higher rate than in seasons past. In fact, this season, their 21.5% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching is just below league average.
